The E3 Sony press conference hasn’t seemed to fail as of yet, but it did hit a small wall when the console design was revealed. The first thing that came to mind was, “Hey! That Xbox looks sweet…oh, wait.” Overall the PS4 and the Xbox One are black boxes with segmented bodies that include flat black and shiny black. Good job guys. They must be so well designed that this look is the only option. Sorry Sony, Microsoft beat you to the punch.
However, this sleek, oblique prism catches my eye from the side. The angles give it character and it appears to be a bit smaller than the One (nothing to reference really, just a feeling) which I like.
I highly doubt either company copied the other, but let us in on any conspiracy theories you can think of and share them below.
